Contradictions

Day after day, One after another
a spotless match, a striking contrast,
hold my interest in a mundane world.

A vision of life for each of us,
a driving force and a spirit of fight,
this whole mankind, keeps me engaged !

Abundant hunger in all of us,
a clash of desires and an urge, to thrive,
raise in my mind, questions unbound.

A trace of filth, in every mind,
that turns us blind to good and bad,
makes our acts, differ from the thoughts.

A sense of joy, in one thing or the other,
a moment of fun and a childlike laughter,
life, I feel, is an answer to a prayer !

A sharp intellect, and a trap of emotions,
The heights of ability and a veil of ignorance,
A spark of conscience and a fog of greed,
the strength of an ideal and the power of need,

World, indeed, with all its flaws,
seems to be a wonderful place.
